These are two semi different schools but it's definitely between these two.

I'm probably going to major in computer science or some kind of engineering but i'm not 100% sure.

I would assume Rochester's education may be somewhat better but Binghamton is much more affordable.

They climate and environment is somewhat similar but that isn't much of a problem for me as i'm pretty used to the weather living in NYC.

What really matters to me is the education to price factor, is rochester really worth 3x the money? Being that I received a 10k scholarship. Would I still have the same chances at being admitted to a good grad school etc?

Any advice / input would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!

For your grad school question: Either Bing or Roch will probably help you when applying to grad school. BUT remember, your grades mean more than where you got the degree from.

I had a similar predicament, but only recieved a 7,000 scholarship to rochester, and forgot to fill out an aid form (not exactly the most ambitious type) anyway i go to binghamton and its pretty solid. The academics are top rate with a great availability of resources. If you study hard you will do well i pulled off two 4.0’s. I also went out everyweekend which is a great plus there. The price outweighs rochester, but if you’re looking for a research facility specifically in the sciences rochester is a great choice. If you’re considering going to graduate school… id pick bing.
