Bio 1a not webcased next semester :(

Are lectures usually the same? so should it be safe to just watch past couple year's lectures?

freakin budget cuts. how much does it cost to webcast anyways..

I think Brian Harvey (cs 61a prof) told the class it was about $3000 a lecture to put online.

Are you sure about this, 88? where did you hear about it?

i heard about this too. unfortunate for future bio1A students. those 8AM classes are tough to attend classs

i heard that it wouldn’t be webcasted for this semester (spring 09), but it appears that it is webcasted anyways.

LOL

8 AM general biology lectures: the bane of premed students, even more potent than Jasper Rine’s horrible midterm.

When you look up bio1a in schedule.berkeley.edu

Note says

EARLY DROP DEADLINE (END OF 2ND WEEK) APPLIES; Enrollment instructions are available at mcb.berkeley.edu/courses/bio1a/enroll. Biology 1A enrollment is closed until Tele-BEARS Phase II begins. Biology 1AL is open in Phase I. Prerequisites will be confirmed. Simultaneous enrollment in both Biology 1A and 1AL is required for most students by August 20, 2009. Enrollment in Biology 1AL guarantees enrollment in Biology 1A. Midterm exams are given during the lecture time. This class will not be webcast. Also: FISCHER, R L; MALKIN, R; WILT, F H

omg 8000 bucks? o.O

I think It will still be podcast though but not sure.

well this is horrible news.

couldn’t we just webcast lectures from previous years? lol.

Yea. they could save lots of money and just tell students to watch webcasts from previous years. and give us tests haha.

3000 bucks for the entire semester right? god someone kick me in the balls. i can barely make it to 1b lectures right now

yea antioch
