so was it hard?

I personally thought it wasn’t that bad; I was expecting a lot worse. Most questions were pretty doable in the 1 min. 45 sec rotation, so the 30 sec rotation didn’t matter as much for me.

u are very smart.

Yeah the 30 second rotation was pretty useless… there were 3 or 4 stations i was really confused on but the extra round gives you no time to think. You have to instantly know every answer memorize everything!!

■■■. …='(

hmm…i hate the time crunch. i felt like if i had another minute or something that i would’ve been able to answer some more

**** was super intense!

hmm jb, calbear and i took the same exam.

and…

If you’re banking on getting an A on the practical to compensate for a bad-low-okay first midterm score…than think again because the questions on the practical in general were much harder than lab quiz questions. I just want a B in this class and if this ends up being my first “C” than I’ll… T-T

if i end up a C in this class…im going to major in environmental economics &policy. ive had too many c’s already.

Are you for real??? You should change your major because you’re either failing or lose interest. To do it because of “Cs”? -____- btw I bet you only have a couple of Cs and I heard once you pass 1AL it gets a lot better =)

=(

how was the bioinformatic section? easy? hard?

No, not really changing major. changing direction. no point in going for med school if your gpa is too low like mine.

bioinformatics… was like impossible…translate a sequence in 1:45 + 3 other parts to the question?
oh man…

seriously. when i got to the bioinformatics i was like ****. took freaking forever.

So, is it the time crunch that makes it hard? I’m taking it this friday, and I memorized every phylum, structure, function, marine tank animal etc. but I don’t know what else to study. What type of questions make the practical so difficult? What would you guys recommend reviewing the most? Thanks…

i was most lost on the stations where they had like 6 random organisms and you had to immediately recognize what they were and know the classifications/cladogram really well to answer the questions

bioinformatics sucked too :/

ah I see… so were the 6 random organisms stuff we actually studied in lab, or was it just like random pictures of organisms belonging to the list of phyla and groups mentioned in the lab manual?

ugh, one of my exam stations had a picture of a nudibranch. i couldn’t believe they would put something so random like that. unfortunately, for the life of me i couldn’t remember what phylum nudibranchs are in…i think i decided that they were annelids. WRONG.

Wait Jb was that station 29ish? The one in the way back that also had a live crayfish, dried sponge and other things? Did we actually have to write the Phylum out? I thought on that station it just said to list the letters? Ahhh I’m hella freaking because I think I missed a lot of points because I couldn’t understand what the question was asking me for a lot of the stations. =/
