Did any of the GSI's announce if they lowered the cutoffs for A-, B-, etc or is it the same as listed on the syllabus (90%=A-, 80=B-, etc)? I am pretty sure my grade sucks because I was in a genius section.

ugh.

ugh.

they usually lower it by a little bit - last semester i got a flat 90% in the class and ended up with an A

how did you figure out the cutoffs? they didnt actually tell us

i missed a B- by 11 points which is equal to like 3 mc questions on the final and i need atleast a B- to declare public health. ■■■

my GSI gave me my grade for all components of the class, so I calculated that my final grade was flat 90% and b/c I did end up with an A, they must have lowered it. i do not know what they lower it to, and I assume that depends on the grade distribution of all the students.

public health is very impacted so they likely won’t make any exceptions. i don’t know if you could retake the course either.

Leftist: are you very sure about them lowering the cutoffs?

but they already posted the grades up on bearfacts and i got exactly 78% in the class and it says i have a C+ on BearFacts!!!

i would damn well prefer a regular B to a ****ing C+ !!!
