Bio 1B Midterm1

it was really wasn't what I was expecting but at the same time kindof what I was expecting. I blanked out on more questions that I care to admit and there were a lot that had 2 that looked like the wrong/right answer :( (like the genetic drift and natural selection with evolution and adaption one) but overall it was ehh.

What'd you guys think?

yeah same-i feel like i blanked out on even some easy ones

i could not for my life figure out what denotes the outgroup for number 34 i think it was? what was the right answer for that?? i think i picked paraphyletic and monophyletic for that one after like 5 mins on that one Q

and for the sharp spines/no spines Q, what was the right answer?

oh and btw, for the genetic drift/nat selec-i think only nat selec is always adaptive-genetic drift can be either harmful or adaptive depending on which alleles make up the new gene pool

when will we get back/see online scores do you know?

lol, wait…what was the question? I vaguely remember something like that (maybe a little more detail would help me remember)

I put that all will have sharp spines b/c true-breeder of SSNN x SS/ss/Ssnn (xxnn) will always have a S and N in it.

I can’t even remember how I answered :D

I dunno, I think the front of the exam said that we’ll get the scantron and scores after Midterm 3. Maybe I misread it.

yay! i said all sharp spines for that too but then i thought i was doing something wrong

what did you put for the hardy-weinberg for white and yellow floweres for the new allele frequency of white after several generations?

yeah i read that line too about after midterm 3 but shouldnt they technically let us know our scores in case we are deciding if we want to p/np it?

I can’t remember the number but I think it was letter B. (lol…I got a lot of E’s)

how 'bout the one asking which events occurred pre-cambrian. did you get “all of the above”?

if this is the one i think it is, i picked two out of the three choices, i think.

i thought this class was supposed to be easy.

I also thought I was prepared. A majority of it was straightforward sure, but 30-35% of the time, I was scratching my head.
