Bio: BR or PR? DEBATE HERE

I have both and i dont know which one to use.

I want one that doesnt have too much information but i want to get an 800 or close to

I dont mind studying either one.

Which one is better?

BR has alot of extra info.
PR has everything you need.

i read both, i think you should read PR first, then BR

Cliff's AP. I used it and got an 800. I highly suggest it.
Otherwise,
Barron's is overkill. Don't take their tests seriously. The real test is much much easier. PR is sufficient (not guaranteed 800)

PR is terrible for information
I second Cliffs AP, I used it and got an 800 on bio-M

hi, i took it in may. i kinda went crazy studying...but i settle w/barrons. a lot of ppl hate it - its pretty dry and has superfluous info, but its useful to read it carefully, every word. i read it twice & skimmed cliffs ap bio and got 800 on E.

but the pr practice questions are more realistic.

but...the sats are pretty tricky. they dont only test knowledge, they also tests some problem solving skills that lots of prep books dont quiz. its hard to study for everything. ap books usually only cram info, not the tricky questions.

i hope this helps:)

I have to tribute Barrons for my success.. although I concurrently took AP Biology and used CliffsAP, I have to give it to Barrons. That's how I was able to get 800 on SAT II Biology M..

I think this "debating" thing should stop though because you can get 800 with ANY prep book. *****

I'll have to agree though [with Jenife and skatj and stockguru]. Also, Barrons IS overkill. which I like. =D

I can't speak for PR because I didn't use it.

Just study hard and you'll do well..

use pr!!!!!!

not even kidding I took it on june 7th and then I saw the book the next day and ALOT of the questions were exactly the same as on the test.
I was soo ****sed offfff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
=]

I have to say that I was a Barron's fan for a long time - its grammar workbook for SATI, its chem and math 2 books were great...but for bio, I think PR was better.

Now I personally used Campbells, PR, Barrons, and Sparknotes...and I think I got an 800 on the June test, but like the above posters have said, there were literally 5+ questions copy pasted from the PR practice tests. Some of the labs were very very similar as well. I think that says something about how close the PR tests are to the CB ones...

So if you had to choose, I would choose PR. But itd be best if you did look at SparkNotes/Barrons/Campbells/etc as well, not to mention take the real CB test.
