I want to ask those of you who have taken 2 labs in the same semester.
How hard is it to manage 2 labs (1 bio and 1 chem)?
1 lab takes up 5 hours, 1 for the instruction session and 4 for the actual lab.
I have asked my friends who have done that their previous semester and they told me that doing so was brutal.
However I know that they do not manage their time very well.
I was wondering if taking 2 labs in one semester is worth trying.
I would really appreciate for your response.

It's pretty routine. Brutal? Maybe. But routine and hard to avoid.

I'll be taking two labs this semester as well and next year as I can't avoid it because I need t double up on the sciences. I do agree that labs take so much precious time up but can't help it.

I always end up taking two (or more) labs a semester. Its called being pre-med.

Thanks to all for your replies.
I think it is inevitable for all of us who are on pre-med track to take 2 labs, if not more, per semester unless we attend summer school.
But once again, thanks.

I took two labs last semester. For my school, bio lab doesn't really require much time outside of class. We do most of the assignments in class, and they're short and straightforward. On the other hand, chem lab requires A LOT of work outside class. Chem lab reports usually take me couple hours to finish just because my prof is so picky about every minute details. But as stated, taking two labs is inevitable. good luck!

I'm taking bio and chem this year (I'm a freshman) and first semester was fine for me. Sure, it can be a lot of work but I think it just depends on your time management and ability to grasp the material.

Im taking 3 this semester and had 3 first sem frosh year, you learn to deal with it. That and lab rarely lasts the full time slot. But if it makes you feel better I have labs in Orgo, Physics and electric circuits this sem. Engineering and pre-med, now thats where it turns hard.
