I haven't taken biology since freshman year. Next year I will be a senior and have enrolled in AP Bio. I thought it would be good to get a head start on the class and fulfill a subject test by self studying Bio E or M in the summer.

My question is: Which one is easier to self study and get 700+ on through reviewing a review book?

… I would recommend taking the AP Class before the subject test… however I don’t believe it’s impossible.
Just get a Cliff’s AP bio book over the summer and read it like 2-3 times (not skimming… actually understanding the concepts and taking notes…etc), then borrow a SAT subject test prep book from a library, read that through and do the practice tests.

I know it sounds like overkill, but if you do all those things… I would be surprised if you score lower than a 780.

Plus if you actually do all of this… I’m sure AP Bio will be a joke the whole school year…

SAT Bio E (from what I’ve heard) is a lot easier because it’s all about ecology and most of it is ‘common sense’
In M you have to know quite a lot about calculations and the nit-picky details of molecules, but if that’s your forte, by all means do M

I am taking SAT Bio E in October >< SO NERVOUS
