I dont know if this is possible to double minor when I'll be busy up all night studying for bio. In my opinion, it seems a waste just to take the A1-2-3 series and thats it. I'm a chinese background who just know the very basics, thinking to take Chinese and Japanese.
I dont know if this will clash my bio major courses. My second option is to minor East Asian Culture, but I cant find the requirements for minors.

ok, thats nice.

i guess you’re looking for this minor:
[School of Humanities - Special Programs](<a href=“UCI General Catalogue Archives”>UCI General Catalogue Archives)

do you have a question, or do you just want the world to know your opinion/4-year plan?

Language classes can be intensive since they are often 5 days a week but if you have an interest in it and want to do it, do it. If you stay focused it shouldn’t clash, especially if you are enjoying the classes. I would recommend starting with one or the other and then picking up the second language later if you have time.

Dang flemmyd kinda harsh…instead of being a jerk why don’t you just help out?

Alright thanks tots. I appreciate your thoughts about my situation unlike some people.
I have another question, is the registration fee based by units I’m taking in the quarter?
Since I cant add the class until have have my interview with them during welcome week, do they make additional charges to my zot account?

fees are unrelated to your unit count (assuming full time student). 12 units+ is always the same.

Did you not go to spop? what do you mean by interview? a language placement test that needs to be done partially in person?

to add on to what tots says, only the first 2 years of language classes are 5 days a week. the 3rd year (3 serues) is MTuWTh while the 4th year (101 series) is only 2 days (typically a Tu-Th for 3 hours total). I am unsure if UCI makes you enroll in some kind of language lab for extra help.

Honestly, if you can’t be bothered to form a question, i don’t understand how you can be annoyed when you don’t receive an answer.
