Any bio majors / pre-meds willing to speak about experience with science programs at Elon?
Rigor of bio courses?
Has Elon offered any internships that help you get accepted into med school?

Thanks!

My daughter has a couple of friends who are planning to go to med school, but they are still juniors.

My daughter is a psych major minoring in exercise science. Her Anatomy had class all the rigor she could handle! They used an actual cadaver for labs, which is extremely rare for undergraduate introductory human anatomy classes.

Elon has a new graduate school of Health Sciences, which at this point offers Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant programs. They are housed in a brand new building. Health sciences and medicine is an area I believe is growing at Elon.

Can’t speak to the “Rigor of bio courses”, my Son is a psych major. After two summer as a Psychiatry & Neurology research intern at Johns Hopkins Hospital, a class in the cadaver lab, and lots of guidance and encouragement he decided to go into medicine. And therein is perhaps the real value of an Elon education, the option to stick your nose into whatever interests you deep enough to make an informed decision that is likely to allow you to have a interesting and happy life.

This is from a few years ago, but it mentions the ability to do research and the sciences at Elon.
