<p>Some of the applications (For biology PhD programs) have a section for publications. </p>
<p>Do they only want 1st or 2nd author, or are some of you all also putting like any paper you've ever been authored on. I have a few where I am author 3-9 haha. </p>
<p>Should I bother putting these? I have no 1st or 2nd author papers. (Or does it just look desperate?)</p>
<p>Of course you should list publications where you are an author, no matter where you fall on the authorship list.</p>
<p>Very, very few applicants have first- or second-author papers at the time of application, and even having authorship at all is fairly rare.</p>
