is barron's a good study review for the bio SATII? ALso is there just a hard curve or is the BIO SAT II hard...b/c people have not been recieving high scores, especially those who recieved 5s on BIO APs.THanks.

Getting a 5 on the Ap and doing well on the Sat 2 Bio have no corelation whatsoever. There are people who get 5's on their AP test and get around the 600's in the Sat subject test. Also there are other people who haven't done Ap but do good on the Subject test. I used Pr and Kaplan and got a 790. I also didn't take Ap and took it end of freshmen year. Good Luck.

True..i totaly agree With Worst Bad Boy..AP and SAT II Grades have NO Correlation whatsoever...if u study for AP it might help u with SAT II..but help in the sense of make u able to skim by things quickly..but you STILL HAVE TO REVIEW THEM (trust i KNOW ppl who got 5 on AP and in 600's range on SAT II thats cause they got lazy towards the end and didnt review good for the SAT II)
even if u know AP like the back of ur hand .. u probably wont do good without reviewing..

oh and barrons is awesome get it for biology ..and if ur not taking AP i suggest u consider taking it...

o and if it makes u feel better..i got a 5 on the AP...and 790 on the SAT II..but when i took a practice test WITHOUT reviewing (which was basicaly around 2 weeks before the test..reviewing didnt take me long) i got a 660 or something ...then my practice tests jumped up to high 700's....with only a week's' worth of review

so overall AP does help..but its useless without review

o and worst bad boy...are u taking/plan on takin AP next yr?

i already took the bio AP (5) so do you think barrons would be better to use...are all the topics covered?

yea definetly go with barrons....everything covered + a lil more (though some of the 'random' stuff were on this SATII test...so its actually good)

Xylem101: I am probably going to take it junior year because I already have 3 Aps planed for sophomore year.

To OP: I think Barrons is a good book. It covers EVERYTHING. Good Luck!!!

I used Princeton Review. 760, 91 percentile. I'd recommend PR, but I really haven't looked at the Barron's book.
