Short and simple: Will reading Barron's for biology help get me a 750+ on the test? I haven't taken bio since 9th grade (junior now) but want to take the test to fulfill the science SAT that many colleges require.

Reading it numerous times will certainly be enough for 750+, really depends on ur previous knowledge, I think princeton covers some of the organ systems and ecology better, so I studied both (self studied half the portion) and ended up with a 750, which is alright i guess

Are the practice tests in the Barron’s books harder than the actual test?

Yes. I used Barron’s alone for review and got a 780.

@romanticism - without taking ap bio or any formal class? just self-studying?

self-studying

So, reading Barrons a couple times should assure me a 700+? Sorry, I’m just paranoid.

I looked at barrons and it’s so much harder than Princeton review. Barrons has way more extra (hopefully unnecessary) information.
