bio SATii : which tests are the most accurate? & other questions

hi im a freshmann who's taking the bio sats in june (3wks) ><;;
& i was wondering if which book(barrons, sparknotes, kaplan, etc) provides the most accurate scores for their practice tests?
and does anybody know how to like effectively study everything so that you almost 100% ready for the sats in 3 weeks? :O
im currently using barron(2008) for outlining & i kinda gave up on Kaplan cuz it was kinda hard to read...which is better?

plzz answer

barrons is supposed to be good for a very thorough review and princeton review for accurate practice tests.

the practice tests are easier/harder than the collegeboard one depending on from which review book you studied.

i personally studied barron's and the practice test questions were very easy, since a lot of 'em were repeats from the review questions following each section.
So the tests might not be accurate, idk. But since I had a lot of time in my hands frosh year, I guess I studied a lot and still got a good score.
Use barron's for review. Kaplan also has good review but its practice tests are harder than the actual exam.

Princeton Review, i think, is pretty much on the spot in terms of difficulty. But I didn't like their review after studying the first few sections. I think ALL of their review books have TOO much emphasis on how to take the test (strategies) compared to the amount of material in the books.

none of them. they're all harder than the real thing.

I got a 790 and read all three. Personally, I felt I should have just used Princeton and know everything from there. Barron's has too much information that isn't tested and Kaplan is like Barron, but not as extreme. Princeton is definitely most accurate in terms of difficulty. For studying, I took a few Sparknotes test and they give you a breakdown of different subjects. Then take a Princeton test and see if you consistently have trouble in some areas. Study a few hours each day, without getting stressed! << That's really important. Good luck

Did you just take a solid one year course in bio, or more? My daughter (sophomore) is just completing her first year in the course. NO ONE in the science dept. at the school even knows the difference between SAT subject tests and AP. ARGHHHH!
Any advice from anyone?

i read barrons and got a 800. so u might wanna start there? :P

^ The thing is, you can do Barrons, and if you cover everything, and remember it all, you are guaranteed to get a good score.

On the other hand, you can get away with less effort with other books :P

i just used cliffs ap to review and took ONE sparknotes bio practice test and got 770 on my diag...
i studied a little more from cliffs and got 800 on bio -e (may)

PRINCETON REVIEW OMGz. Barron's overprepares and overcrams. AKA not helpful. Princeton is a great review with targeted problems. After you're done with those then... do practice tests.

Also having a textbook aka Campbell's is very helpful. There are multiple errors in all the review books, (just in case so you don't learn the wrong information).
