How should i study for this (what combination of review books). I plan on taking it in June and I have only taken Regular Bio as a Freshman. I want <750. Thanks.

I’m doing the same exact thing! No AP Bio; just regular bio that I don’t remember all that well. Don’t see why you’re not aiming for >750!
I’ve done extensive research already on CC and the best combination is, according to many users, Princeton Review SAT II Bio & Barron’s SAT II Bio. CliffsAP, I read, goes too in depth and might be overkill for the SAT II if you’re self-studying. Kaplan’s is apparently bad for SAT II Bio, although it’s supposedly pretty good if you’re studying for SAT II Lit and need accurate tests. I haven’t even seen McGraw-Hill come up so I wouldn’t bother with that book.

Barron’s SAT II Bio has harder practice tests than the real test. As always. The review also carries some superfluous information… as always.

PR is good for a concise review. I’ve read tips that reading PR and then really studying Barron’s is a good method.

Bio-E has a harsher curve than Bio-M. However, I was looking at the score conversion table, and the final scores might differ by 10-20 pts. Not too sure about this one.

After studying, one should take the free online Sparknotes tests.

And of course, take the released bio test in CB’s The Official Study Guide for all SAT Subject Tests.

Hope that helps. Best of luck! :)

thanks that was great. and i meant >750. sorry i was tired.

i think the SATIIs test stuff you were supposed to learn in hs, so if you study all year long, you’ll be fine. the review books mentioned by @belahene are good. im using the cliffsap book to self study for ap bio, and ill probably take the subject test too.

I’d recommend using the Kaplan SAT 2 Bio + Princeton SAT 2 Bio book and you’ll be fine.

belahene pretty much summed it up. If you do that you should do well.

PR+ biology Campbell especially Ecology part( for e-section takers) and more thing: do not force yoursef to learn every detail, just skim through the book so that you got basic concepts. sorry for my poor english.
