Bio-- Taxonomy

To what extent do we have to know all the Linneaus classification stuff? Would basically knowledge of all the phyla be enough? Do we have to know the chordates in great detail?

Lol, what do you think the chances are that we'll have an essay question over this?

i personally don't think you need to know the different characteristics of the different phyla or anything...just know general characteristics of the three different domains and evolution in general

I read in some prep book (maybe Barron's?) that you should have an example of an animal in each phylum-- I'm not doing that... I hope that the emphasis on taxonomy isn't strong because I definitely did not spend enough time on that chapter. I know about homologous and analogous features, and what causes them, and hoping that is enough.
