Hey everyone, my friend and I are freshman taking our first two AP classes of Biology and World History. Since this is the biology forum i have a bit of questions to ask based on preparation.

My AP biology teacher was horrible, I know a lot of kids say this but he really is. He gives teh chapter of reading, we have a quiz in class and then we just sit there for another about hour. No lectures, no powerpoints nothing. Sometimes he puts a video from 1950 or something when we pester him with questions, but we usually don't get it still and he replies with " Oh well there's nothing else I can do." Me and my friend were just looking up somethings and it turns out we are supposed to complete 12 mandatory labs, the class has only done 3, most of which wrong because he doesn't supervise and we get inaccurate results.

He is also leaving and since he says we are not prepared he decided to just give us 3 essays a day in class and 3 more at home plus a chapter of reading. (Keep in mind he doesnt read these essays so we dont know if we are doing things right) Considering my classes situation what is the best way for me and my friend to prepare? We are "good students" with straight A's and a B in WH, so we are dedicated and have deticated every sunday for about 5hours untill exam time to review.

Is there a book to buy or powerpoints? Thanks!

Our class is all ninth graders without prior biology classes also, even us.
