The material in the two sequences is the same. Bio 101-104 is the traditional course w/ lectures, quizzes, prelims, labs, etc. Bio 105-106 is the autotutorial format of intro bio where you basically study on your own with no lectures. You can get help from TA's if you need it. Personally, I'd try to avoid aututorial classes if you could but I have heard good things about autotutorial bio.

I suggest the 101-104 sequence. It' s easier in the sense that there are those in the class who won't be that brilliant. A friend of mine, a brilliant bio student, got a B in bio 106 after switching to it from lecture.

there were plenty in 105-106 who weren't "brilliant." if you think you can budget your time, i'd say go for 105-106. you don't have annoying weekly labs.

I thought 105 and 106 had labs. If they don't, definitely choose Bio 101-104. Med schools will want intro bio WITH LABS.
