<p>I'm planning on majoring in Biochem. I was wondering if it was an impacted major, and what are some good school for it. I'm assuming UCSD is a good school for it since they are the Bio school of the UC system.</p>

<p>Biochem is my major too. Good luck to you! It is very interesting and fun, we get the best of all worlds with physics, calculus, and the highest level science courses. Biochemistry will be appealing to professional schools and grad schools *granted you do well in it. Make sure you enjoy all these courses before you take it because you aren't going to be sleeping much lol. Sure UCSD is good but so is UCLA and USC. Any highly ranked school will be fine and will look great anywhere you look to go. Any school in the top 30 that you are applying to and what you are comparing it to should be based on what you like about the school because you aren't going to notice much difference.</p>
