Hello everyone,
To be honest, i’m starting to get really worried and panicking about my future. Let me start with a little background information. I always did well in high school, studied, got good grades, etc. This carried on for the most part to be freshman and sophomore semesters of college (however, i’ve tended to overload myself and as a result have withdrawn from roughly a class a semester) I realize this isn’t ideal, but i had some dual enrollment credits from high school that carried over so i’m not really behind, just lost my advantage). So I started college wanting to do something with pharmacy but as i’m taking more chemistry courses (in analytical and organic II right now) I’m really freaking out because i’m not understanding alot in either of these two. I’m worried that I have come too far in the science based courses to try something else now without having to basically spend an arm and a leg in class fees and my own life. What should I do? is it too late to change majors? I was looking at changing to economics or possibly a computer science (I like economics and have been very able with computers my whole life, even dabbling with C++). Also, i’m trying to at least get a minor in chemistry with a couple extra courses so its all not wasted. I just desperately need to know from an outside perspective, maybe even someone who has been there before. Thanks for taking the time to help me with my plight.
