biochemistry major question

currently im enrolled in chem20A, math 32A, and history 9D.

im thinking about taking math 32a, history 9d, and another GE instead.

would thi sbe a bad idea to take a quarter off of chem?

i will most likely be taking a summer session this summer.

i also plan on applying to medical school

thx in advance.

what year are you

freshman. im considering doing math 32a, history 9d, and mcdb 60

putting off chem for a quarter should be fine. i was off by a quarter when i was biochem.

not really i would take it that way ur able to go with the flow and not fall behind

well if i take 30A and 30AL over this upcoming summer, i should be all caught up right? i can dot aht in one session, correct?

Are you REALLY sure you wanna take OChem during the summer?

30A is a lot of material to cover and understand over the summer, as is 30AL. It is also not recommended to take them together, although I did it over spring quarter. 30AL is 7 hours in class and about another 4-5 hours of write up during the regular quarter. In the summer, it's 14 hours of in class work. and I'm pretty sure the write up time are doubled as well.

so, it's not recommended to pass on chem?

heres a brief list of pros and cons about not takin chem first q

pros:
ezier schedule, without that extra science class
allows me to take it outta series, helping the curve and competition problem

cons:
hard-pressed afterwards
have to take a summer session to catch up b4 MCAT time.
will be behind and possibly not be as appealing when i submit my research personal statements.

so u guys would all stick iwth it? i would have to take neuhauser for my schedule to work, because scerri's earlier lecture is totally full...
