So far I am pretty certain that I will be applying as a Biochem major to the school of arts and sciences at Boston College for early action. I know with some schools you are required to take a Science AND a Math SAT 2 if you are submitting your SAT 1 score and are applying as a science major. If I took the Bio (680) and Chem (790) SAT 2’s (at least those were my highest scores) will that be okay for my major? Because I am retaking the SAT 1 (2090) in the fall I cannot take the Math SAT 2’s then; therefore should I apply regular decision and take them in December?? Also is my Bio Score not good enough for BC?

My son is scheduled to graduate in the spring of 2014. He has been a Biochem major from day one. He too took the SAT subject test and scored 710(Bio) and 780(Chem). That combined with a 2110 earned him admission into the class of 2014.

BC does not state what 2 subject tests you must take. Bio and Chem are clearly recognized as quality exams.

My son was not a original member of the Chemistry Honors Program. He took it upon himself to call the Chemistry Chair and gained acceptance to the Chem. Honors Program.
This is only for your first 2 years. Your 3rd and 4th year are filled with electives.

Good Luck.
