Biochemistry major

Okay, Im in my (hopefully) last year in college. I heard from one of our professors that there are about 250 Biochemistry majors at our school which is large it has 15,000 students give or take. That made me wonder how uncommon we really were. Are any of you Biochemistry majors or were at one point? If you were what did you switch too? If there are any grad students did you have low gpas and manage to get into a school? Biochem has destroyed my once high gpa but I read I could have as low as a 2.7 and still have a shot at grad school. If you have any info you would like to share please feel free to do so. I feel like we are really underrepresented, but now I'm realizing there may not be that many of us to represent... lol.

I am only a highschool senior but I plan to go into biochemistry. I want to eventually get into pharmacy school.

I am curious what classes gave you the most difficulty? What would you have done differently? Which was your favorite class?

If you are interested in graduate school, I strongly suggest that you pursue research volunteer position in a lab at your university. By working in a lab, you will learn in practical terms the types of programs and career options available for an individual with your training and interests
