biochemistry or chemistry.. which major is easier to get in?

<p>I want to do my pre-pharmacy studies at UIUC..
and I think I should apply either as a chemistry or biochemistry major..
I know that UIUC is known for chemistry..
so would it be harder to get in if I apply as a chemistry major?</p>

<p>Probably BSLAS version of Chemistry is easier to get in than BS BioC. If both are applied as BS (specialized curricula) I think admission difficulty is comparable.</p>
