Im a transfer student, majoring in bioengineering. I confused about where to go, I was accepted to uc's merced santa cruz and riverside for bioeng. cal poly slo, san jose sate and csu long beach for biomedical eng. which school is better in terms of rankings, academic and student life, eng programs, etc. I did my research and I think cal poly is higher in ranking and better program, any opinions, comments. I live in the merced area so uc merced is closest but my concern is that it is a relatively new school. Also i know bioeng is more of a general major and biomed is related to medical field/ tech. would it make a difference if i graduate as bioeng or biomed in terms of jobs, salary etc.. one more question i saw a few forums from 2008 2010 2012 that bioeng graduates were having really hard time to find a job even though is the one with more growth, is this still true? that companies prefer to hired a ME EE or any other related eng than bioeng. any comments. Thanks in advanced
