BioE ranking

I heard it started at UCSD so it must have some merit. I also checked the website and it was the #1 most impacted major. The question is how does "BENG" at UCSD compare with that at, lets say, LA and Cal. How would you rate each engineering college in general?

Thanks
Applied BENG for LA, Cal, and UCSD. In at UCSD. La tommorow ^_^

i also got in bioengineering at UCSD. it ranks #2 in nation, behind JHU. its very good.

im qutie pleased to get in and am considering it very seriously.

BioE at SD > CAL > LA

aa6590, I thought it was third after JHU and Duke?

Anyway, I'm in for BioE as well - woot! What college are you guys at? I'm at Warren.

I heard Cal has a very small beng department. lol..(and it sucks?) don't know about LA though.

Here are some rankings, albiet from 2006 and graduate rankings, but the graduate rankings reflect on the undergraduate programs as well.

Its about 2/3 down the page

USNews.com: America's Best Graduate Schools 2008: Engineering: Biomedical/Bioengineering

Warren, bioengineering

VERY likely to go

I may see you hydralisks :)

i just realized i got beng (biotech)
What's the big difference?

well i technically got Pre-Bioengineering:Pre-Medical at muir

^same major, at revelle

nou, we'll see :)

I'm a Cal student. BioE is good here if you want to go to med school, because the average BioE class has over 50% of the class getting at least an A-, but otherwise its not very good. (though it is still better than LA's)

Accepted Pre-BioE/Pre-Med at UCSD (Sixth)!! All I know is that BENG is tied for 2nd with Georgia Tech, behind JHU, according to U.S. News and World Report.
