bioengineering/biomedical engineering

what is difference in bioengineering adn biomedical engineering? Which are the best subject as major for undergrade bioengineering/biomedical engineering?

Most would say that biomedical engineering is a part of the more general bioengineering, but in practice, the curriculums will be very similar.

As dab3 stated, Biomedical engineering (BIEN) is basically a subset of Bioengineering (BIOE). They can be VERY different style curriculum. BIEN are the computer/mechanical/electrical engineering applications to medicine and physiology. I see BIEN as involved with the devices and how the devices interact with living beings. BIOE is literally all technologies related with applications to medicine/physiology. For example, BIOE ranges from medical physics, to tissue fabrication/engineering, to medical devices, bioinformatics.

At my college BioE is BioMed.
