Does anyone know the acceptance rate to med school from Bioengineering: Premedical major?

when i was applying to ucs i put it as my major cuz i thought thats what ucsd was good for...but when i got in and found out that ucsd is famous for bioegin and biotech...i was dissapointed to say the least....

larkin

did you take a look at the course load and then compare it to regular bioengineering? I need to do this also...

oh i saw the little flow chart thingy or w/e...the freshmen year courses are about to the same....to anyone that goes to ucsd...do bioegin premed students get looked down upon by biotech and bioegin classmates :)

No............................

lol. premed my friend pokes fun at her premed friends cos they always study. dunno though, shouldn't be too bad.

I made the same mistake as ILoveLarkin...i chose Bioengineering:Premed thinking it was the impacted bioengineering major with a beneficial addition for students interested in med school...however i noticed that it is actually non-impacted and is somewhat similar to the Haas Business school at berkeley...you have to show good grades to actually get into the Bioengineering major around the 3rd quarter you are there. the good side is that i think you only need to maintain a decent gpa to get in

Impacted majors are not necessarily better than the non-impacted variety.
