bioengineering transfer

I was wondering how hard it was to transfer from a ccc to ucla, ucb, ucdavis or ucsd as a bioengineering major? What kind of stats do you think i should have to keep me competitive. Will having very few EC's hurt my chances? thank you

Best UC bioengineering in UCSD, and you'll need pretty close to a 4.0. Maybe a little lower if your classes are honors which also really helps. Ecs in the field would really help, perhaps a related summer job.

my grades are close to a 3.7, what schools do you think i have a chance with? i guess i can knock off ucsd then..

first of all...i believe that only UCSD and UCB offer bioengineering...the program to UCSD and UCB are very competitive so i think you'll need much higher than a 3.7 to be competitive...good luck

I don't think ECs really matter for transfer. how many subjects have you completed. UCs look at the subject completion.

Find out with UCSD TAG program (transfer admissision guarantee) works for your major/

ucla also has a bioengineering major there. i should be finished with the transfer requirements when the time comes. unfortunately ucsd does not offer a tag program since the bioengineering program is quite impacted. i am thinking about changing my major since only a few schools offer a bioengineering program, and if i do apply to those schools i have a good chance of being rejected to each one. i do not want to be stuck at ccc. what is the difference between biomedical and bioengineering?
