Bioengineering vs Biomedical engineering?

Hi everyone.
I'd like to know the big difference between Biomedical and Bioengineering. I originally was sure on Biomedical, but I find that not many colleges have that major, only Bioengineering. Are they the same?
I'd really like to get into GRIN technologies, or something similar to that, maybe working on something like bionic sight or implants for the blind, even though that seems outlandish. What major would be best?

At some universities they are one and the same.

I would look into the classes offered at these universities to see if they are BME classes in disguise. Just to make sure. From my experience, I have seen them to be the same thing.

Thanks. I was looking at Syracuse University in specific, and the page header reads “Biomedical/Chemical Engineering” but when you scroll down to look at the titles of the degrees/programs it reads “Bioengineering”. I’m assuming that’s BME, but I can’t be sure, and have questions about the program. Should I meet with admissions?
