I'm planning on majoring/minoring in Biological Engineering/Biomedical Engineering and doing pre-med. I have 8 credits from the Bio AP that I can use to waive BioG 1105/1106. I've read that premeds shouldn't waive those courses, but since I'm an engineer and I have a bunch of other requirements would it be better to take the AP credits?

Take the AP credit. You are required to take advanced biology anyways, so use those advanced bio courses as your premed requirements. Just remember - if you’re a premed, you will need a lab-based bio course. I personally recommend BIOMI 2910 (microbiology lab), but there are tons of lab-based bioengineering courses too.

OK, great. Thanks for the help!
