Biological Psych

How good and how hard is the course?

I took Biopsych two years ago with Prof. Turgeon and I highly recommend it. I was undecided on my major at the time but the class convinced me to start taking Neuroscience classes. There is a fair amount of memorization about various things in the brain and some circuits to learn, but we also read some interesting articles and touched on a lot of neat topics. Some people, on the other hand, really struggle with the class and only take it because it is a requirement for the Psychology major. If you are really interested in learning basic stuff about the brain and behavior, this is an excellent course. The other professor who teaches it (in alternating years) is Professor Baird, and I hear he is good, too.
