Biological Systems Engineering

I just got admitted to UC Davis, my top choice, to the major of Biological Systems Engineeering, but I'm not really sure what I will be doing with it. I picked biosystems because it seemed the most like environmental engineering which is really what I want to be doing. Can anyone shed some light on what biosystems majors are going to be doing and learning, and if I should stick with it or switch to something like chemical engineering when I can?
