Biology 141&142...?!

"AP Biology credit does not apply to Biology 141&142 course..." - Course Atlas

Eventhough someone got 4 or 5 in AP Biology, does he have to take general biology course (141&142)?

4 or 5 AP Biology students can be allowed to take more advanced course in Bio and don't have to take 141 general course?

....Getting 4 or 5 in AP Biology is worth nothing in Emory?!

a 4 or 5 on the ap bio test will only give you credit for bio 120. it will NOT place you out of/give you credit for bio 141 or 142. since bio 120 is for non science/non premed students, you might thing that it is worth nothing if you are not one of these students.

Bio141 and 142 include genetics, which is not covered in AP bio. The course is nothing like the AP test.

These courses are VERY intense. As dgebll said, they include genetics. Many of my friends see them as the extreme premed weedout classes. I have friends who had 5s on the AP and were ecstatic to get a B- or C+ in here.
