Biology and Engineering.

I am torn between the two. I love aspects of both of them and I need to decide which I would rather do for my major. I am soon to be choosing which degree I want to graduate with as all my basics are filled and I just need the "core requirements." So far in each I have taken Zoology, Chemistry, and will be taking Pre-Calc and Trig over the summer, but I know I love mathematics.

Either way I will get a PhD.

The thing I love most and want to do once I graduate is Research and Development! Eventually I would want to teach on the college level preferably graduate level. I want to be in the labs and in the field researching products/organisms and learning from them and how to make them better or use them in a different way.

Thanks for reading and for any comments.

have you considered bioengineering?

I have, but everything I read about it says that a bachelor’s in bioengineering is worthless. They all say that you should get your bachelor’s in some other form of engineering and then go for your master’s in bioengineering. (This is assuming that Bioengineering is the same as Biomedical engineering)

Is there a department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at the school you plan to attend? If so, you should relay this concern to them.
