Last 2 choices, and I seem to have the most questions. Coming from SW Ohio - choosing between Biology at U Cincinnati and Bioengineering at U Toledo. Already crossed off MiamiOh (cost) and BGSU. Didn’t make Bioe cut at UC (higher marks required), but accepted in Biology. Toledo doesn’t seem to have prestige of other schools, but they seem to be better focused on bioengineering, students, and she would be in honors college as well. VS. closer and bit larger Cincinnati and part of Arts and Sciences college. Help!
Added school info to title

Toledo vs Cincinnati for an Ohio bound freshman? (Maybe I should have titled it this?)
What is your daughter’s end game?
Bioengineering and biology have very different course requirements. Has she looked up the 4 year plan of study for both schools? What’s more interesting to her?
Is there any path to transfer to BE at Cinci?
IMO, your D should go to the school that best aligns with her academic interests. If that’s Toledo, go there. I just wrote in another post, that college is what you make of it. Your D might have amazing opportunities to shine at Toledo. There are also plenty of smart kids there so she wouldn’t be alone!
