Biology courses

I was hoping someone who majored in biology or took a few biology courses could provide some input. So obviously the intro classes (Biol 101/102, Chem 101/102, and Phys 101/102) are weeder courses and they can easily bring your GPA down. I also heard that once you get past the intro courses (especially in Bio), the intermediate and advanced Bio classes are a lot easier to get an A in. However, I've also heard the opposite. As for the first instance, people say that the material is harder, but since the classes are smaller, it's a lot easier to get an A.

So my question is, which Biology courses at Penn are "easier" or can bring your GPA up, as opposed to killer classes that will just bring it down?
