What do you all think about the Biology M curve? How many can you get wrong for a 740 or above?

Depends on the time you take it. I got one wrong and got a 790 while I've heard people get 2 wrong and still have an 800. I wouldn't get more than 7 wrong if you want that kind of score, but it really depends. A harsh curve could kill you.

what is a good biology score for like USC or UPENN or other 7 year medical programs

yeah i would like to know for combined programs

750-800.
Ten characters.

would that be a good benchmark for the other SAT II's?

Yep. It's a good benchmark for the SAT I as well.

thanks kwu

Penn does not have a 7 year med program.

I took the Bio M last year and I didn't study after taking the AP exam in May and i got like 6 wrong I think and I ended up with only a 720.
Bio M is considered the easier of the Bio tests so a lot of people do really well on it

do more ppl take bio (or SATII's in general) on the may date or june?

^ (10 chars)

is the real test any harder than the practice questions on collegeboard (SAT Subject Test in Biology) ??

Because those were really not bad at all.

yeah i would like to know as well

Take the test in the Real SAT II: Subject Tests book. It's amazingly accurate.

From a review on Amazon: "This book does what it says: it gives you one complete REAL SAT II test on every single subject EXCEPT Biology and Korean. Since many people take the Bio E/M test these days, this book is marred by the fact that it doesn't have a complete Bio E/M test (only half and not "REAL") and they seem to be easier than the actual test I took."

I'll probably just go to Barnes & Noble and do the test there ;)

Perhaps the test in the book is the old version, before they had separate E/M tests. All I remember (god, that was 4 years ago) is that I got the same score on the actual exam.

Yeah, I agree w/Theoneo. There aren't many released exams. I like Barron's, some are hard & some don't seem to be in the actual test format but the book is pretty comprehensive. A lot of people say that on the actual test there are some questions that never came up on prep books like Kaplans or Princeton Review. And SparkNotes sucks.

BTW, when are you taking it?

is PR first then combined w/ Barrons later a good choice?

and is sparknotes really that bad?

Yeah, PR is good but not very dense. It's kind of like a textbook. Barron's is highly rated but hard to understand if you want to learn only from test prep books. Kaplan's is the same as well.
