treebounder, what was the xact question?

lol...watever i did badly

Wait, there was stuff on dicots and plants on the main section of the test too right? (not M or E section) that whole chart/diagram with flowers and stems that was on the main section?

For the ovulation question I put the acidic environment and the blocked fallopian tube. Suave I thought exactly the same way you did, abnormal case.. sperm cant live. Makes sense.

The chart with the flower was kinda weird. The flowers were the answer to one of the choices... Monot/dicot sooo hard

Overall I think it wasnt so bad

yuh it wasnt tht horrible...i think i might have managed to squeeze out a 650...and yes skater girl...there was

What is the curve for the bio test?

How many can I miss to get at least a 670?

oksannadog613: * what does the cell membrane DO... was the answer, keep out hormone proteins? bc none of the others seemed to fit I think you mean the plasma membrane question and i'm pretty sure it had something to do with allowing the hormones

what makes up the myofibrils? *actin + myosin

what will happen if more stomata appear-- I would like to know too, i put increase the rate of evaporation but i think thats wrong

what did the experiment demonstrate concerning the enzyme activity on the human, and other 2 things? *diff amino acid structure i think

what was the optimum PH of the yeast fermentation experiment thing? was it 6 or 7 maybe? *i put 6 because it was about the same on the Y axis and took less time (just using logic)

what do the cyanobacteria NOT have?
*mitochondria i believe because they had to have had Chloroplasts because they undergo photosynthesis

the gastric acid stuff in distilled water: did it decrease the pH of the solution by adding H+? *thats what i put

which would fossilize, cerebral cortex or ear bones?
*ear bones
* ifsomeone is SURE they got the qs on monocots and dicots right (with the pictures) please share the answers flowers were the answer to one of the questions and dicots were 1,2,4,7

No idea...

Does anyone know what was that thing toward the beginning of the test..
eutropicism.. somthing??? i didnt know what it was so i didnt put it for any answer.

The questions were like: plants replaced with hardwood trees - i put succesion

birds dissapear from N. America - i put extinction

because something gets introduced to the environment green algae takes over - succesion?

i hope i got over a 700.. almost every question i narrowed it down to 2 choices (or better lol)

cell membrane stops protein hormones
stomata - i put increase evaporation (pretty sure)
optimum PH for the enzyme was the top of the peak .. pretty ez
ears fossilize

ok um..60 raw is abt 700...lol ... so as i see it...not tht hard to get 700 at ALL...

yep...cell membrane stops protein hormones...however, they let steroids [made frm cholestrol and r hydrophobic] right thru

sorry i was doing it wrong, you can get 16 wrong and get a 670.. its the number you got right minus the number you got wrong times 1/4. So assuming you got 16 wrong with the other 64 right.. thats 64 - (16x.25) = 60 and thats your raw score. 60 is approximately around 670 but it all depends on that test dates curve.

60 raw equaling 700 is thinking a little bit too optomistic i think

what would like 5-6 wrong, 0 omit be? on E btw

760-790 range going from a couple different books

720+ score

ok thanks

i liked that test

stuff i never heard of like "punctuated equilibrium" could be guessed because "periods" sorta

and stuff like the antidiuretic or something...i saw diuretic somewhere and i vaguely remember it being in a doctors office and i had to pee in a cup and so i just guessed more conc, less vol urine and i think/hope its right....lots of fun

Yeah i get the feeling a lot of the prep books have false numbers. its hard to determine but i'd say the curve on this test won't be that steep considering it wasn't hard. The real sat II book's curves are ridiculous.. and the spark notes book is reasonable.. any have PR?

logistics: you're right on the ADH =)

now you mean more concentration of urea, less volume of water?

yeah thats what i meant

and i took a practice test in which the first set of matching had stuff ive never heard of and couldnt guess like "guard cells" and really big words...i thanked god literally when i saw the first matching...the only hard matching was the eutrophication...i put it for the one i wasnt sure about but its probably wrong

thought i would need to have taken AP bio for that and i only had honors...turns out i would have been ok with my 8th grade life science knowledge (maybe_)
