Biology E/M SAT II

I have a question for those who have taken the Biology E/M SAT II.

I understand from skimming these forums that Biology is split into two parts; molecular biology and evolutionary biology. During the test, you decide which 'test' you are going to take and answer questions corresponding the either molecular or evolutionary biology. Do I have that right so far?

Furthermore, to clarify, is molecular biology everything covered in a regular AP Biology class the first semester? (Ex, Photosynthesis, Cellular Respiration, Molecular DNA, etc)?

So in theory, if those two assumptions above are right, I would only have to study/review 'half' a year of AP Biology right?

They actually have a common 60 questions that cover both ecology and molecular biology. The E section adds more questions about Ecology and the M sections adds more questions about Molecular Biology.

I saw the curves for both of them in a prep book, and they are about the same. Take the one you are more comfortable with.

if you’ve taken AP Bio you’re good on both areas just might want to review minimally at least

The 60 questions in the beginning can be completed fairly easy even with an intro bio class. I took the test a few years back and got an 800 by using the PR. Bio E was easier for me, but you should look at what you’re more comfortable with. PR is awesome, if you’re in AP Biology, AP Test prep will be more than enough for the SAT.

Best of luck!
