Biology Major Question

Hi guys, I just finished my 2nd year at university and currently in a Bio major. My problem is that im starting to worry about what i can do with my degree. I planned on applying to pharmacy school but where i live theres only 2 pharmacy schools with completely different pre-reqs that i would have to spend another extra year to take, and theres always possibility of not getting accepted no matter what because its so competitive. Im starting to freak out since where ever i look online they say any science major job with just an undergrad pays around 30,000 a year. I always liked science but its just depressing to know that this is reported average salaries of undegrad starting students. As for doing masters on top of my undergrad im not sure what that really would do in terms of options and salaries and what not. any advice given on jobs, careers, and grad work and everything else is greatly appreciated. Thanks

30k a year for a Bio B.S. is pushing it. I know people who graduated from very good schools with a B.S. in Bio who make less than 20k a year.

Go to grad school.

How would the salary and job options change after going to grad school then ?

Depends on what you’re going into, but salary usually increases along with job options with the more education you have ;)

PhD in bio is enough to run your own vaccination lab or to be a professor rather than be a technician or hs teacher somewhere.
