Biology Major, Should I double major in Economics?

I attend the University of Illinois and am currently a junior studying Molecular and Cellular Biology and pursuing minors in business and chemistry. But I am thinking of double majoring in Economics, though this would mean a 5th year.

I am pre-med, but I am not sure if I want to go to med school anymore, though I have the grades, I am not sure if I will be happy doing it, or even if I could get in. I do not really want to spend 7-9 (med school and residency) more years after undergraduate college still in school and training. Though I would like to be a doctor, i dont know if im patient enough and I dont know if I could get though med school. I do not like memorizing lots of things, and I believe I would have to memorize a lot for med school.

I do have an interest in Economics, and i think it would expand my options and allow me to go a business route as well as possibly make myself look better as I did a double major. Though it would be an extra year of school to do it. Though it could be a benefit as I get an extra year to decide more of what I want to do.

I am wondering the thoughts and advise of others, would it be worth it go spend a 5th year for a double major in Econ?
