<p>seaweed....I disagree, although being a doctor is probably the most conventional way for biology types to get into the >>$100k earnings bracket. Other biologists who happen to be tops either technically or business managers in the consulting world earn good money. You also better believe that the pharm industry has some very high paying careers for people with biology backgrounds. I could go on & on, but suffice to say, there are plenty of high-paying opportunities out there for biologists other than being a doctor.....I'd also say that even if one does become a doctor, the best way to "get rich" is not to be a professional practitioner (in any field), but to start or own a biololgy-oriented business.</p>
