Biology or Physics?

I have to choose between taking Biology 2 or taking Physics for my senior year. Which one is overall better for college? Also, if it matters, my major is going to be economics.

I chose to take Bio 2 over physics b/c I suck at math.

If you have already taken a bio class, then go for the physics. It's good to touch as many bases as you can.
And as an Econ major, the extra math will be good for you.

Colleges like to see that you have taken bio, chem, and physics. So, if you've already taken a bio class, physics would probably look better.

I took Biology 1 during my sophomore year and Chemistry last year. So I should definitely take Physics over Bio 2? I'm sorry, but I would like more opinions on this.

oh yeah, if u even are 1% thinkingof an even somewhat sciecne math buisness related field take some sort of physics in hs. Its so important from what i have heard.

Okay then, I'm definitely taking Physics. One more thing, I have to take either Calculus Honors or Statistics AP. I'm leaning towards Calculus, even though it's only an Honors class and not an AP class. So, is it better to take Calculus? I've asked this question on here before, but I'm still not sure about this, sorry.

Yup, it's better to be well-rounded and take Physics. I personally think that Calculus would probably be better, but if you want the extra AP, Statistics isn't too bad either. I still think you should go for Calculus though.

IMO, Physics > Biology.

Physics is phun.

physics++;

Physics is more a math based science whereas Biology is more reading based. Both usually have hand's on aspects to it. For example, choose Physics if you enjoy kinetic and electrical experiments (batteries and cars) and Biology if you like working with microscopes and cutting biological matter open. Personally, I just love Science, much more so than History or English just because it seems more relevant to today's world, so I chose to take both AP Biology and AP Physics this year. I think I will practically die under the workload though.

So I should take Calc over Stats?

yes take calc

i know a kids whos also taking ap bio and ap physics at the same time this year, hes a jr. Its will be pretty intense for u guys, 2 science aps at once.

bio is all about memorization and physics is all about calculus, i would recommend picking the one you would mostly like excel in because that would look better on transcript

Take physics and calc. Unless you have no other choice for math, it's kind of stupid to take AP Stats as your only math class.

Physics and calculus would go together pretty well, even your physics class isn't calculus-based. Plus, you do need to know calculus if you're going to study econ.

Nice u r from oregon. But u need calc to study econ? AP econ? or econ in higher levels in college?

take physics... im a junior and im taking it right now and its hard but alot of fun!

Calculus and physics. Calculus and physics. Okie dokie?
