I'm currently torn between these two. I really like Georgetown but I think since I'm studying Biology/Pre-med path, Tufts would be a better choice for me. Any advice?

Can anyone tell me the percentage of Tufts/Georgetown students that get accepted to Med school?

I haven't gotten my financial aid packages yet. I hate to say this but in the end it may just boil down to whichever college gives me more money. =/

Thanks everyone!

I had the EXACT same decision (Georgetown and Tufts) and chose Tufts mainly because the sciences aren’t GT’s strength… Tufts has a really strong pre-med program, great advising, great support, etc.

Do you know harsh Tufts’ grading system is? I don’t want to sound like a person who just wants the easy way out, but I know GPA is important for med school.

Both great schools - I went to both (one undergrad, one grad). Both great cities (although I prefer Boston to DC for the college experience, hands down.
Yes, Tufts is very well known for pre-med and placing its students. G-town is also a great school. I think it’s a bit of splitting hairs.
Bottom line: if there’s a significant difference between the FA packages you’re offered, go with the better one; if they’re close or the same, go where your gut tells you you’d have a better time.

IMO, it’s not all that harsh. I’ve done better in most of my classes here than I did in high school and don’t feel like I’m working any harder.

In bio, as long as you understand all of the concepts well enough to be able to apply them in various ways, you will do well.
