Hey guys, I am going to register for classes in a few days and I took Principles of Biology this past semester. I was wondering if I could take any other Biology course to fulfill the 1 year Biology requirement for med. schools. I am planning to take Human Biology. Is that okay to fulfill the requirement? Thanks in advance. I appreciate it.

Your two bio class must have labs, if they don’t you can’t use them.

yes, both classes have labs. thanks, mmmcdowe

I woulds recommend taking a higher level course with or without lab just so you aren’t missing out.

yea, after taking human biology, I’m planning to take higher level classes after that. Thank you for the advice.

Make sure those classes cover all the MCAT topics. If they don’t that could come back to haunt you…

doesn’t your school have a principles of biology 2?? If not talk a pre med advisor at your school.

it does have a Principles of Bio 2, but the professor is really bad. I want to avoid that.

Avoiding “hard” profs is not the way to go. Challenge yourself and excel. If you always duck from difficulty and never take risks in your schooling, you’re going to hate college. Is there a specific reason this class is so “hard”?

i didn’t say it was “hard”. It’s just that the professor lacks in proper teaching skills. I avoid bad professors because I actually want to learn something from class than to struggle learning something. I could take those “hard” classes later on any time.
