Does it really matter what major I major in during my pre-med process?
What helps the most during med school? Biology or Biochemistry

It is not too important as long as you take the courses that are required for medical school admission. It just so happens that a biochemistry degree is usually a better match for those courses as a standard part of the curriculum.

Pre-meds can have any major, as long as they take the pre-med courses (which do vary slightly by medical school). Biology and biochemistry may be “convenient” in that their major requirements typically cover most of the pre-med courses, but it is certainly possible to major in something unrelated and take the pre-med courses alongside.

Thank you so much for the responses!
