Biology Vs. Chem Major - Pre-med

<p>Hey,</p>

<p>I am just curious on what you can do with a bio major and what you can do with a chem major. I liked my regular chem class and plan on taking Apchem next year. I am currently in apbio and enjoying certain aspects of it, but wonder if I would enjoy chemistry more. I am stuck between the two majors. It seems like there is more to do out there in the world of biology (different sub-majors, research, etc.), but chemistry sounds interesting too.</p>

<p>Pros/Cons of both majors, or any advice on how to differenciate between choosing either major would be appreciated. With either major, I would like to take the pre-med track. I love science, but have a hard time deciding which route to take.</p>

<p>Going into pre-med either major would be great background. I would think bio being the best choice. But there are a lot of areas a chem major can pursue if pre-med doesn’t work out. Check the chemistry page for descriptions of the different areas one can pursue. Click the link below.
