Biology vs. Chemistry vs. Physics

you must have a pretty good program at your high school...at mine the most we've cultured was bacteria which is why now I'm pretty psyched to be growing my own plates of heart cells

Chemistry is the best out of the these three science classes. I am very good at Chemistry. I feel like I learn a lot from that class.

Biology, I abominate the most in terms of any classes. Maybe it was the teacher. I don't know, but I never understood Biology and actually learned from that class. I survived with a B though.

Physics is okay, better than Biology I'd say, although I have never taken an actual Physics class. But I did get an overview of it in middle school, and it wasn't too bad.

chemistry- all the formulas (i hate math but i love chemistry math, AKWARD!!)

Physics and chemistry are decent.

Bio on the other hand is utter garbage made of doses of epic failure.

Definately chem first. I just find everything about chem interesting

The only reason why physics isnt next is because, even though i love electromagnatism, i hate mechanics with a passion. I think its so stupid. I dont give a damn how long it takes for susie to fall off the empire state building

Then theres bio... interesting but boring as hell.

So for me its:
Chem
Physics(electromagnatism)
Bio
Physics(mechanics)

Biology ('cept the teacher sucks)
Chemistry (the teacher rules AND the class is awesome)
Physics (haven't taken it yet... :s )

It's clear that the OP is a fu ckin noob for forgetting Chemistry but whatever. They all good son, RECOGNIZE... all you humanities fangirls.

biology is all memorization.

while physics is conceptual + analytical thinking. which comes in handy in other classes.

pure math because there's no approximation and you always understand why things work. plus proving things is fun and you really don't do that as much in physics.

otherwise physics (fun) > biology (useful) > chemistry (ew)

if only pure mathemeticians were...um, alive for the implications of their research to be realized. And I'm talking about healthy ones who live until they're 80 or so.

Chemistry> Physics=Biology>Computer Science>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Environmental Science

Chemistry's awesome
Physics's interesting sometimes
Biology can be fun, but the whole class/kingdom stuff is so boring
Computer science can be sometimes useful, but I kind of suck at computers
Environmental science is just .......................

I mostly like a subject because of the teacher. My school's main Chemistry teacher is absolutely amazing, so most people who are horrible at Chem and would otherwise hate it like it at least a little.

So, chem. But I haven't taken real Phys yet. I doubt I'll like it as much as chem.

For me, biology is #1 all the way. Chemistry's also up there. My physics class was pure hell, so I'm not sure whether I hate physics or just the way my teacher conducted the class.

Biology
Chemistry
Environmental Science
Physics
Computer science

In all fairness, if I was any good at math, I would probably like physics the most. For the MOST part, I would think any “decent” physics student could be a good bio student if they applied themselves properly. Where as I don’t think the majority of students who pick bio will excel as easily as their counterparts. Of course, this isn’t always the case, I have a friend who’s in IB Bio year 2 with me, and he’s self studying physics, and he regularly helps people in the IB physics class.

Physics
Chemistry
Biology

Personally, I’m planning to major in biomedical engineering, but I think biology as a class is memorization. Applying Physics/Chemistry to biology seems much more interesting. The way I see it, the principles of Physics apply to subatomic and atomic particles, leading to the principles of Chemistry, and both combine to form the principles of molecular biology (which builds up to cell, then systems biology). Of course, I have only taken AP Chem and AP Physics, so I have no experience in higher level bio classes, but I do have research experience, and it seems more based on stuff based on other areas (math/physics/chem), then the actual biology.

Just my $.02

math>physics>bio>chem

chem is the stupidest subject i’ve ever taken.

Bio >>>>>>>>>>>>>Chemistry>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>xInfinity Physics.

Physics is the devil.

They all have their merits and valuable applications. It’s unfair to say that one is better than the other for personal reasons. Every branch of science helps us understand ourselves and the universe in a different way and thus are all valuable. Just kidding, physics is the best.

I like different parts of each one the most, I like the whole genetics part of BIOLOGY best though :)
