Is the biology program at Cornell as notable as some of its other departments? I have heard that biology is the largest major on campus. Are the professors well known? Are the connections very good? Will I have a biology education at Cornell that is comparable to another Ivy/top school?

The biology program is excellent and well-regarded. It will prepare you very well for further studies (med school, grad school, etc.) with challenging courses and plenty of research opportunities. The professors are top folks in their fields and they will have lots of connections with other research institutions around the world. I suggest you check out the office of undergraduate biology (oub) website for more information on majoring in biology at Cornell: Biological Sciences | CALS;

I’m currently a bio major minoring in physics, and i could tell you the bio major here is top-notch, on par with practically any other school in the world.
